Stop! Living in the past and move forward with your life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.
The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
This scripture reminds me of Hezekiah Walker's and LFC's song called " Moving Forward."
We all can move forward in life, no matter how bad our situation may seem right now. Praying, fasting, and walking in faith are a few things you can do to help you step in the right direction. God will never put more on us than we can bare and all things that are bad should come to pass. I'm not sure what you are going through right now, and it's not my business to know, but what I want to tell you is God is with you.
A name above all names, my provider, my prince of peace, and he is God all by his-self. My prayer is you take it minute by minute, day by day to start moving forward in live and stop living in the past.
1 Peter 1:13
So (you) think clearly and exercise self control (today). Look forward to the gracious salvation (Jesus will give us when he returns) that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world (he's coming back again).
This scripture gives me such hope for a better day. It reminds me of Kirk Franklin's song "Brighter Day." You should be thankful you can choose your own clothing, hairstyle, music to listen to, and freedom of speech. There are people who do not have a choice to some of the things we take for granted and complain about. Instead of looking at today as just another day, do a self check. I read on Tyler Perry's Facebook Page "When prayer doesn't seem to work, pray again." So, even though you have been praying for that break through for weeks, months, or even years continue to pray, because God will give it to you at the right time. If you feel you are going backward do another self check and look at how you are living your life. Don't engage in the foolishness in traffic today, at the work place, and from your significant other. When you are living what you are preaching it shows.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires.
Have you heard the song by Forever Jones "He Wants it All." You know nothing is too hard for my God. A couple of Sunday's ago my pastor preached about how we want things and how we sometimes become upset with God, because he has not given us what we ask for. He went on to say that "maybe we aren't ready!" Are you ready to truly receive the desires of your heart?
When I started being more active in the church three years ago, my answer was yes to this question. But just a couple of months ago, I started to push away from the desires that God had given me. You know sometimes we ask for something we really aren't ready for.
My prayer for you today is go to God and talk to him about what you want from your life. Ask him to show you how to get there and for confirmation. When you hear that small voice speaking to you listen and obey. It may not be today or tomorrow when God decides to speak, but if this is a desire of your heart that matches up to the will of God, than trust and believe he will answer you.
